It’s about you being you.

Authentic Communication Coaching

Because it’s time the world met the real you.

We live in a world that relentlessly calls on us to express ourselves in the written word, in conversation, and in… well…. life itself. And, for too many of us, as much as we long to express ourselves fully in a way that feels sincere, real, and authentic — when we try, it comes out stiff and awkward. Disconnected.

Decidedly inauthentic.

It's like going to your closet to get dressed for some event that really matters to you. Something you want to show up to feeling right, looking right, walking a little taller, and breathing a little easier. (Maybe even with a little swagger.)

You open the closet. You look at everything hanging there. And you immediately feel deflated.

I mean, it’s fine. You’ve got clothes. But nothing fits right. Nothing looks right. Nothing feels right. There's this disconnect between who you feel like you are inside and who the world is seeing on the outside.

And now there’s AI to the rescue.

Which is fine — or at least fast — except for how nothing fits right. Nothing looks right. Nothing feels right.

Authentic communication coaching reconciles that dissonance. So you can dial up the resonance of your true, authentic voice. And start living more of your once-in-any-lifetime story. (Which, not for nothing, is easier and more fun.)

Our session was truly transformational. It is like a renewed perspective and a weight lifted off my shoulders.

What we work on together

The coaching is one-on-one. We work on something real and tangible you're actually building — a website, a speech, a book, a difficult conversation, a professional/personal reinvention. Whatever brought you here.

In the process of working on that real thing, we mine for dissonance and resonance. Mixing metaphors a bit, we dial the radio left and right until your signal comes in clear.

The result isn't just that you know how to sound more like yourself. The result is that you know how to feel more like yourself. You move through the world with greater ease. Because you’re simply being more you.

I know, what a concept, right? (Simple, not easy.)

Because you’re ready.
And it’s time.

(Or not.)

Is coaching right for you?

Years ago, I was working with a copywriting client on the “About” page of her website. We met to go over what we had so far. With all sincerity, she looked at me and asked,

"Is it too me?"

We sat for a moment. She looked down, looked up, then looked at me and said, "That's not a thing, is it?"

I said, "No. It's not. But feeling that way is great information. It's okay. You don't need to be fully seen if you're not ready to be."

Here's another way to think about it. Let’s go open closet again except this time you know exactly what you want to wear. You can feel it. You just can't find it anywhere in there. Again, the clothes that are there are fine. They're just not you anymore.

So often the people I work with are in one — or both — of those places. Either feeling like:

  1. 1t’s not okay (or safe) to fully show up.

  2. Or feeling desperate to show up, but not sure how.

If either of those sounds familiar, let's talk.

One thing worth knowing.

Coaching with me isn't one-size-fits-all. For some, it’s an ongoing process where we dig in together over time. For others, it's a single focused session — what I call an Authenticity Audit — to get one specific piece of writing sounding and feeling like you. And, of course, a whole spectrum in between. We figure out which fits best on that first free call.

And as an aside that may also be informative, I’m an author and sometimes speaker/teacher. So that’s something we can talk about if there’s a group, retreat, community, or conference you’ll thinking might be interested in exploring their story, too.

…my VP at work said she’d seen tremendous growth in me, my relationships, my stories, and my impact on the team and our members… Truly life-changing. Not just for me, but for an unknown amount of people in the future.

Pricing

Ok, one more metaphor. Think of pricing like designing a custom road trip. The cost of coaching depends on the length of the trip and where you stay along the way.

As my clients would tell you, it's more expensive than Motel 6, but far less than the Ritz-Carlton. (Ideally, I'm aiming for something more like a gloriously vintage, clean, comfortable, and soulful Route 66 motel.)

Bottom line: Right now the only “cost” is a free 30-minute zero pressure call to talk about where you're at, where you're headed, and to see if we have a fit chemistry-wise to go on a road trip together. That's where the adventure starts. We build the road trip that fits your needs.

Let’s talk.
